Radio daze
This morning, I traveled to the Promised Land: Chicago Public Radio (WBEZ).
Allison Cuddy of the program “Eight Forty-Eight” asked smart questions about the recent layoffs and budget cuts at the ELCA.
WBEZ has been on top of this story for the last several days. The staff did a great job of reporting on the issue. I thanked them for their interest in religion coverage.
Here’s the link to the interview.

Heard the interview this morning. Thanks for sharing your perspective and wisdom. It is much needed at a time like this. I was so disapointed that the ELCA Communication team declined the invitation to respond. What exactly are they communicating by their lack of communication with the public? Thanks for being an “unofficial” voice in the wildenerness. I’m so glad there is someone in the ELCA who is willing to communicate with the media. Thank you.

Do you know if there’s any way we can see a list of the positions eliminated? I’m curious.
